MASS OF THE ANGELS

The annual Mass of the Angels will be celebrated on Wednesday 2nd October at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church Newtownards. The Newtownards and Comber Parish Bethany Team invite any parishioners within our Parish Pastoral Community (Bangor, Holywood, Kircubbin, Portaferry, Ballygalget) who have suffered the tragic loss of a child (regardless of age) through miscarriage, stillbirth, direct medical intervention, or any other circumstance, to contact the Parish Office, Tel 02842728373 before Wednesday 25th September in confidence if they wish to have their child included. No names will be read out but they will be placed discreetly in front of the altar during the Mass. All are welcome to attend the Mass.

FAITH AND LIFE CONVENTION 2019

Online bookings for this year’s Faith and Life Convention are now open.We hope that you will be able to join us on Saturday, 28 September 2019 at Our Lady and St Patrick’s College in Belfast.

This year our theme for the convention is Faith in a Better World and our Keynote Speaker will be Michel Camdessus. Michel is the former Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a member of the Pontifical Council on Justice and Peace.Our keynote speech will be followed by a panel discussion where together we can reflect on the variety of issues that we face in society today.

The highlight of the day for many people is the variety of workshops on offer and this year we have an impressive line-up of local and international speakers.The convention is an excellent opportunity to network with others from the Diocese and beyond.We look forward to welcoming you and having an enjoyable day where we can encourage one another to be people of active faith in our society.

CEILI CLASS starts this Sunday 22rd September in McKenna Hall from 7pm - 9pm. Come and join the fun and craic, learn a few dances and have a cup of tea/coffee at half time. It's also very good exercise!! All skills and particularly beginners are most welcome.
